14 more employees at ABP Clones have tested positive for Covid-19.
It comes after over 300 staff were screened as a precaution following two positive cases on-site.
On Monday, Northern Sound News revealed two staff members at ABP’s site in Clones had tested positive for Covid-19 almost two weeks ago.
As a precautionary measure, the company brought in a private company to test all 335 employees on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
This evening the company confirmed that 14 of those tests came back positive.
In line with ABP’s protocols, all work contacts of those impacted are now self-isolating.
It says it will continue to work with and take guidance from both the HSE and the HSA in relation to ensuring staff safety and public health.
Yesterday, a further 22 cases where confirmed at ABP Cahir in County Tipperary.
