Abbott Ireland in Cootehill has increased its volume of baby formula produced for the US in response to a shortage in the States.
Product recalls, and the war between Russia and Ukraine, have put pressure on formula suppliers as supply chains break down.
In a statement to Northern Sound, Abbott says it's "working hard to help mums, dads and caregivers get the high-quality nutrition they need for their babies".
The statement adds that Abbott has a US-approved plant in Cootehill, where they have increased the volume of Similac Advance powder formula produced for the U.S.
The company is "air-shipping product from this facility into the U.S. daily" to help with shortages there.
