The A5 road has re-opened following a fatal road traffic collision yesterday. The Curr Road between Omagh and Ballygawley was closed yesterday evening following a two-vehicle crash shortly after 7pm.
The collision was between a white BMW 320 and blue Scania lorry. The driver of the BMW, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death brings to 49 the number of people killed on the A5 since a planned upgrade was announced in 2007. A statement just in from the PSNI say the stretch of the A5 where the incident took place has now fully re-opened to traffic.
