It was a day of celebration for parents and staff at the Holy Family School in Cootehill, following its official opening by Minister Norma Foley earlier today.
While the new 26 classroom purpose built facility was over 20 years in the making, principal Rachel Moynagh believes today's events has made every "bump in the road" worthwhile.
Parents, staff and elected representatives praised principal Moynagh for her dedication down through the years, however she described her school's recent success as a "group effort."
Speaking to Northern Sound, Ms Moynagh says while the building itself has changed, the strong spirit of the school community will remain the same.
The local principal added that "many" have worked towards the goal of establishing a new state-of-the-art facility, with the students of 'Holy Family' at the heart of everything they do.
