Friends and family wanted to do something in her memory and we decided to do a 7 day cycle covering over 900km across Ireland.

A group of friends and family are set to travel over 900km in 7 days in memory of Castleblayney native Amanda Boylan (Nee Duffy) who passed away in July 2022 after her brave fight with breast cancer.

Friends and family wanted to do something in her memory and we decided to do a 7 day cycle covering over 900km across Ireland. They will be raising much needed funds for four charities which are Temple Street Children`s hospital and The Royal Belfast Children's hospital.

As they are finishing the cycle in Amanda's home town they wanted to give to local charities as well, which are Castleblayney Cancer Society and Saturday club for special needs children and adults. Their journey starts on May 26th in Letterkenny Co. Donegal heading to Sligo town Co. Sligo onto Achill Island Co. Mayo. From there we will be heading towards Clifden Co. Galway to Ennis Co. Clare onto Cahir Co. Tipperary.

The cyclists then push on to Mullingar Co. Westmeath to head back to Amanda's hometown Castleblayney Co. Monaghan. Amanda's sister Lorraine says this event is a wonderful opportunity for people to remember Mandy and its gives her family and friends an opportunity to give back to these wonderful organisations.
