800 homes currently without power across region

Up to 800 homes are currently without power across Cavan this morning.

188 homes are without power in Shercock, 149 homes are without power in Baileboro and 355 households are off the grid in Virginia, and 64 homes are also without power in Kilnaleck

Yesterday evening saw over 4,000 homes across Cavan and Monaghan were without power for a time.

Clones, Baileboro, Shercock, and Virginia were worst affected with the power outages across the region.

ESB networks have said they hope to have power returned to all home in the region by this afternoon.
