In Cavan General Hospital, eight patients are awaiting treatment on trolleys so far today.
The latest figure from the INMO's trolley watch monitor follows a recent pattern of daily trolley waits for people attending the hospital's Emergency Department. There are no patients on trolleys in any of the hospital's other wards.
As is always the advice, people are asked to find alternative pathways for treatment where possible but be assured that emergency treatment will be provided at Cavan General where necessary. Nationally, 487 people in hospitals are on trolleys.
