Monaghan County Council's Housing section upgraded 71 houses under the Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme (EERP) at a cost of 2.14 million euro in 2022.
The average cost per dwelling was 30,170 euro.
The ambitious programme of works for 2023 aims to seek tenders for upgrade works to circa 125 properties. It is anticipated that the programme of works will cost in the region of four million euro. As the Energy Efficiency Retrofit Programme is now a rolling multi-annual programme some of the work commencing in 2023 may be completed and recouped in 2024.
