Vodafone says it hopes to extend its 5G mobile networks to Cavan and Roscommon by the end of this month.
The company has been rolling out the high speed network since August, with certain cities already covered.
It’s now said it hopes to continue the roll-out of coverage at sites across 11 counties before the end of the month, including Cavan, Roscommon, Meath and Galway.
Concerns have been raised about the health impact of 5G with calls for it to be banned in Ireland.
However, the World Health Organisation has consistently said there are “no adverse health effect has been causally linked with exposure to wireless technologies”.
