47 new teachers for Cavan - Monaghan this term

The Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board has increased its staff numbers in response to an increase in student numbers in both counties.

47 new teachers are to be employed for the coming academic year with a small number of new applicants currently completing the appointment process.

All new teaching staff will assume their roles this month.

The most recent meeting of the CMETB heard of plans for the autumn term including Board of Management training, provision mapping for additional educational needs and training for senior leaders.
