Ahead of the General Election Dóchas has released research via electoral snapshots showing how much Cavan and Monaghan supports overseas development through financial contributions.
In Cavan, 3,175 people individually donate to Dóchas members, representing 11% of households and 3.9% of the population.
3 Schools, 15 faith and community groups and 22 businesses also contribute. While in Monaghan, 2,864 people individually donate, representing 12.5% of households and 4.4% of the population.

11 Schools, 10 faith and community groups and 19 businesses also contribute. Almost 350,000 individual donors across Ireland contributed to 27 of Dóchas’s 56 members in 2023, representing one in five households who are exercised about overseas development.
