Three males have been arrested and detained for questioning following the discovery of drugs by Gardaí in Carrickmacross. While conducting a routine checkpoint, Gardaí stopped a car with three males on board.
According to local Gardaí, a search of the car was conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a quantity of suspected cocaine and cannabis was discovered. All three males were arrested and detained for questioning.
The investigation is currently ongoing and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
