Libraries, like all other public buildings closed at the beginning of restrictions – but the librarians haven’t been sitting on their hands – they’ve been working tirelessly to keep providing content for members and keep books available where possible.
One thing happening in Monaghan is that they have a new Creative Writing slot starting on Monday mornings at 11am. It’s called Monday Musings and their Writer in Residence Deirdre Cartmill who will be offering weekly tips and ideas on how to get started and develop your Creative writing skills. The videos will be available on their Facebook pages or library webpage.
Executive Librarian with Monaghan Libraries Karen McCague joined The Wider View and explained what they’ve got up to while the buildings have been closed.
