266 people have returned to work in the Northern Sound region this week, according to new figures from the Department of Social Protection.
It's part of a national decrease of almost 10,000 people claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
The number of people on the PUP has now dropped below 200,000 for the first time.
Cavan has the highest level of people in the region closing their claims, with 159 people coming off the payment this week.
In Monaghan, 107 people returned to work this week.
