22 schools across the Northern Sound region have been awarded a Green Flag for their dedication to sustainability and protecting the environment.
Green-Schools is an environmental programme that focuses on issues like litter and waste, biodiversity, and the marine environment.
Its Green Flags week finished today, and 22 schools across the region received this accolade for promoting sustainability.
12 schools in Cavan and ten schools across Monaghan were awarded with a Green Flag.
Green-Schools Manager, Cathy Baxter, praised schools for finding innovative ways to keep the programme going during the pandemic.
