22 adults in Cavan and Monaghan were accessing emergency accommodation at the end of September. That's according to the latest Monthly Homeless Report published, which found that 12,827 individuals nationwide were accessing emergency accommodation, an increase of 136 on the previous month.
There were 1,892 families in emergency accommodation at the end of September, according to the report. Of the 8,923 adults recorded as homeless in September, a total of 5,822 were single while 5,478 were men. The majority of homeless adults, a total of 4,751 were aged between 25 and 44 years old.
Cavan and Monaghan are included in the North East Region with County Louth for reporting purposes. The total number in that region was 185: 163 in County Louth and 22 in Cavan and Monaghan.
