200 new car parking spaces are set to come on stream in Monaghan Town in the coming months.
A car park occupying 80 parking spaces on the broad road is set to open next month along with 120 parking spaces opening at the new peace campus which are due to come on stream in the New Year.
Electric charging points are also planned for both car parks along with long term and short term parking also,

Cllr Raymond Aughey says these spaces are a very welcome announcement for the people who work and shop in the town.
The local councillor who is also a businessman in the town say the long stay parking spaces will be very beneficial.
