A 20-year-old female has died following a collision in Co Fermanagh yesterday evening. The incident involving the 20-year-old pedestrian took place on the Belfast Road in Lisbellaw at around 5.50pm. A 25-year-old man was arrested and remains in police custody at this time.
Police in Co Fermanagh are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have captured dash-cam or other footage in the area at the time to please get in touch. You can do so by calling 101, quoting reference 1600 13/12/23.
Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA, Deborah Erskine described the incident as "devastating." In a statement posted to social media, Mrs Erskine said; "Tragically a young woman died last night due to a road traffic collision on the Belfast Road, at Lisbellaw. My prayers are with the young woman’s family and friends who have been plunged into grief. We also pay tribute to the emergency services who attended last night. Police are appealing for information."
