20 patients waiting on trolleys at Cavan General

In Cavan General Hospital, 20 patients are awaiting treatment on trolleys so far today.

The latest figure from the INMO's trolley watch monitor follows a recent pattern of daily trolley waits for people attending the hospital's Emergency Department.

As is always the advice, people are asked to find alternative pathways for treatment where possible but be assured that emergency treatment will be provided at Cavan General where necessary.

Nationally, 641 admitted patients are waiting for beds this morning, 422 of those are in emergency departments, with 219 in wards elsewhere, according to today’s INMO Trolley Watch.
