20 homeless people recorded in Cavan and Monaghan

There are 20 homeless people in Cavan and Monaghan.

That's according to the latest statistics released by the Department of Housing today. The department's Monthly Homelessness Report groups counties Cavan and Monaghan with County Louth under the North-East region, where the total number of homeless people stands at 222.

Of those, 144 people who are homeless are single adults, exactly half are men at 111 and half are women. 43 of those in emergency accommodation in the north-east are aged between 18 and 24.
