Two new Primary Care Centres are set to become operational in Co Monaghan next week. The HSE has indicated that the centres - located in Monaghan Town and in Clones - will be operating fully by the 30th of August, next.
The North Monaghan Primary Care Centre has already opened to the public on the St Davnet's Campus and services include Public Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and GP services.
Meanwhile, services at the Clones Primary Care Centre will include physiotherapy, social work and GPs.
Mandy Doyle, Head of Service Primary Care said both centres offer a variety of services locally in one place and are an excellent example of the Enhanced Community Care programme in action.
She added that people can access the services they need while staying out of the acute hospital. "We are delighted that two new primary care centres will be operational by the end of the month," she continued.
