Police have arrested two men following an assault in Armagh yesterday afternoon. Police received a report shortly after 2.20pm that a man aged in his 50s was assaulted by two men in a house in the Ballynahone Crescent area. Officers attended and arrested two men, aged 40 and 53, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
The 40-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault on police. They both remain in police custody at this time. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
