Two drivers have been arrested in Cavan over the bank holiday weekend for road traffic offences. One motorist, who Gardaí described as being "highly intoxicated", refused to provide samples. The driver was arrested on the Oldbridge Road on Sunday night and has now been charged to court.
On bank holiday Monday morning, a motorist stopped by Gardaí on Farnham Street was found to be driving while disqualified. A search also found the driver had a number of licences on the person. The person's car was detained and the licences seized by Gardaí.
