The first of three 200 euro electricity credits will be paid to over 2.2 million households from tomorrow.
It's part of the cost-of-living measures announced in the Budget.
The government announced last month that households would get 600 euro worth of electricity credits during this winter and spring.
They're being given out in three installments of 200 euro, to both bill-pay and pay-as-you-go customers.
The credits are automatic and people do not need to apply for them.
The government has announced the first 200 euro credit will be paid directly to residential accounts from tomorrow.
It will appear on bills from the start of November and into December, depending on a household's electricity supplier and billing cycle.
The second payment will be made in January or February, with the third going into accounts in March or April.
