Castleblayney is being put on the world stage due to having 17 nations being represented at an angling event in Lough Muckno.
The event is taking place all this week which will bring huge economic benefits for the area.
The National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland has been awarded the honour of hosting the 6th edition of this event by the Fédéracion International de la Pêche Sportive.
25 different teams from 17 different countries will take part in the world angling event.
Teams will train on the venue until the weekend ahead of the Parade of Nations tomorrow where the Chair of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney Municipal District will ceremoniously receive the flags from the team's participating.
Chair of Carrickmacross-Castleblayney Municipal District, Aidan Campbell says the wider Monaghan area is set for a welcome boost to the local economy and for angling tourism due to the hosting of this event.
