Today marks the 16th anniversary of the brutal killing of Paul Quinn.
On the 20th of October 2007, 21 year old Paul Quinn was lured to a barn in County Monaghan and savagely beaten.
The young man from County Armagh was attacked by a group of men in a shed near Oram, Castleblayney and later died in hospital. His family blame the Provisional IRA for his murder, but no one has ever been convicted in relation to his death.
In a post on social media today, Paul's mother Breege said that the loss of her beloved son is one wound that time just can't heal.
She said that today 16 years ago was when we had to say our final goodbyes to our beautiful son who touched our lives in ways that words cannot capture.
