The Cootehill Arts Festival and Cavan Arts Office have been working together over the past few weeks to come up with a way to still celebrate the arts in the region. They decided on a socially distanced exhibition called “Responding to Lockdown: An Artists Perspective”.
The uniqueness of how people found the restrictions is what they wanted to capture. Eight artists from Cavan were asked what word immediately popped into their head when asked to think about lockdown, and from that word create a piece of art. Poet and playwright Noel Monahan is one of those involved and he joined The Wider View to talk about his word, and his art.
