There's been a 14% increase across Cavan/Monaghan in the number of fines issued for parking or stopping in a disabled bay.
80 fines were administered by gardaí last year, a 14% increase on the 70 fines that were issued in 2020.
Nationwide, there's been a 34% increase, with gardai issuing over 4,100 fines in 2021 - compared to less than 3,100 the previous year.
Nearly 1,400 were issued in Dublin last year, and there were 434 in Limerick.
