A 12-year-old girl from Co Cavan is swimming 15,000 metres in outdoor waters to raise money for three charities that are close to her heart.
Belturbet's Kirsty McCaul had originally planned on covering 5,000 metres over a two-week period but has since trebled this target.
The final leg of her fundraiser is taking place in Annagh Lake tomorrow morning.
Kirsty has surpassed her fundraising goal and has already taken in close to €3,500.
The money raised will be divided between the Down Syndrome Cavan Branch, the Paediatric Unit of Cavan Genera Hospital, and Crumlin Children's Hospital.
