1,000 homes, farms and businesses remain without power following Storm Éowyn across Co. Cavan. The latest figure from ESB Networks for Co. Monaghan is 250 customers.
ESB has told Northern Sound they cannot provide specific information on where their crews are working, or on what power lines, because the situation is "dynamic" and the information they provide is ever-changing. "The information would not remain relevant for long," an ESB spokesperson said.
According to the ESB's Powercheck website, customers in Tierworker, Drumalee, Swellan Lower, Gortahurk, Castleshane and Monaghan Town are still without. Some customers have also reported having their restoration times pushed back.
Meanwhile, ESB said it's aware of recent incidents involving the theft of equipment from vans and they are "working closely with the authorities to address this matter." In a statement. ESB asks "anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or has any information that could assist in the investigation to contact gardaí.
