A boy who was seriously injured in a road traffic accident in Clare last week has died. 10-year-old Dylan Coady Coleman was struck by a van in Shannon on Sunday afternoon and was airlifted to University Hospital Limerick.
He was then transferred to Temple Street where he was pronounced dead yesterday morning. A man in his 20s who was arrested in connection with the incident has since been released pending further investigations. Gardaí continue to appeal to any witnesses of the collision to come forward.
