Monaghan County Council is to embark on the preparation of a ten year development plan for the Lough Muckno amenity in Castleblayney. The framework was discussed at this week's sitting of Monaghan County Council.
Speaking to Northern Sound in relation to the new action plan, local councillor Aidan Campbell commended the work of Monaghan County Council and new Chief Executive, Robert Burns. Cllr Campbell said it is "critical" that they continue to bring members of the general public and community with them as works progress. Cllr Campbell went on to highlight his support for the plan, adding that Lough Muckno is an "amazing asset" for the local area.
