The death has occurred of Lucy Finlay, Friday 19th July peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her parents James & Josephine, her brothers, Patrick (Paddy) and Brian and sisters Josephine (Josie) and Maura.
Lucy will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Eugene and very sadly missed by her children, Dominic, Alison (Ashley), Garreth (Emma), Emma (Jason) and Nicola (Frank), as well as her beloved dog Maple. Her grandchildren Charlie, Poppy and Willow will forever cherish the memories they have of their grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her sister Dympna and brother Seamus (Monica) and her many nieces and nephews.
May Her Gentle Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
Lucy will repose at her home in Tullygillen, Monaghan (H18 RR44) on Sunday 21st from 4pm until 8pm. House private at all other times please to give the family the respect and time to spend with Lucy.
Lucy's funeral procession will arrive on Monday morning 22nd to St Michael's Church, Corcaghan for 11am funeral mass, with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to palliative care via any family member or Mc Kenna Undertakers.
Please note there will be a shuttle bus in operation from the car park at Corcaghan Community Centre.
The family wish to sincerely thank the staff of Ballybay Healthcare Unit, all the home-help care staff, the HSE public health nursing team, and the palliative care team for the exceptional care that Lucy received over the last year. The family will be forever grateful.
