Julia McKenna (nee Markey) died on Monday, February, 12th 2024, peacefully in the loving care of her family at home.
Predeceased by her husband James, her parents; Peter and Julia, her sister Elizabeth and her brothers; Jimmy, Owen and Frank. Deeply regretted and remembered by her loving family, daughters; Julie and Audrey, sons; Patrick, Brian, Dermot, Paul, Raymond, Kieran and Brendan, son in law Patrick, daughters in law Cleone; Judy, Gina, Elaine and Orla, grandchildren; Conor, Jane, Grace, Holly, Ruby, Doris, Pearce, Brianna, Rory, Caolan, Evie, Pia, Charlie, Mimi, Lucia, Georgia and Diana, brothers; Paddy, Pete and Ned, sisters in law; Annie and Sarah, brother in law Packie, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Julia will repose at her home, Carrowhatta, Scotstown, (H18PD35) on Tuesday (13/02/2024) from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Wednesday (14/02/2024) from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. House private to family at all other times please. Julia’s funeral will depart from the family home on Thursday (15/02/2024) at 10.15 a.m., arriving at St. Mary’s Church, Urbleshanny for funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society, c/o McElvaney Funeral Directors, Church Square, Monaghan.
