August 10th 2024, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Eileen (née Treanor) and his son Kieran, his parents Pat and Bridget, sisters Mary and Agnes and brother Packie.

Sadly missed by his loving sons Seamus (Trish), Michael (Michelle) and Damien (Linda), daughters Caroline (Mickey) and Aileen (Noel). Grandchildren, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home (H18CX90) on Sunday (11/08/2024) from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Monday (12/08/2024) from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Family and close friends on Tuesday morning please.

Removal on Tuesday (13/08/2024) at 10.15 a.m. arriving at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s New Cemetery, Latlurcan.

So sorry to hear of Jimmy’s passing. He was a decent, hardworking man, committed to his family. A true gentleman. We have no doubt that he is back with Eileen & Kieran today watching over you all. He will be sadly missed. Rest in peace JJ. Xxxxx

My dearest cousins and extended family, I wanted to reach out and share how heartbroken I am over the loss of my uncle Jimmy . He was such a special person in my life, full of love, wisdom, and kindness. It’s hard to imagine life without him, but I know his spirit will always be with me. The memories I have of him are precious, and I will carry them with me always.
